New York sues 3M, DuPont and others over 'forever chemicals' in consumer goods

New York is suing 3M, DuPont, and other companies for creating a public nuisance by selling "forever chemicals" (Pfas) in consumer products, despite allegedly knowing their toxic nature. Attorney General Letitia James claims the companies deliberately hid the environmental and health risks of these chemicals for decades. The lawsuit targets not only 3M and DuPont but also Chemours, Corteva, and EIDP, which were spun off from DuPont.
